Norm Scott is a
local artist born in Monterey, California.
Norm has been
drawing since he was a little boy.
When his mother had him stand in a corner,
he always had a pencil in hand. Norm,
of course, drew on the wall to pass the time
more quickly.
Norm's
reputation for drawing caricatures followed
him everywhere he went. More often
than not, he was asked to do a card or a
picture for friends and acquaintances.
He would observe a special something about
his subject, then he would create a unique
and treasured drawing.
In the
1970's, Norm decided he would like to do
water colors. His first class was in
Mendocino. He found his medium - this
was something he loved doing.
Norm's day
job was as a graphic artist from which he
retired in 1992. You could then find
him with sketch pad in hand, especially in
the forests of Tahoe, the Mendocino Coast,
Sonoma County and, of course, his own
special Monterey Coast. |
